Witchford 96 FC was formed in 1996 after the village football team disbanded a few years before. Witchford had always had a successful football club in the village and a band of villagers brought back a football club that the village needed. After starting in the bottom division the club has moved up to division 2b and has improved greatly since its formation.
Now in 2008 the club has introduced a reserves side, looking to utilise the wealth of youth team players coming through the village to increase the success of the club.
These are exciting times for the football club, and they will be looking to get promotion in the coming years to take Witchford back to where they belong.
