Witchford 96 4 Somersham Reserves 1
Playing a side who had not lost all season, and with Witchford down to the bare bones the chances of a victory seemed slim. But Witchford turned in a great team performance to breeze past Somersham.
Bernie Coulson was back to help the team out and started up front on his own, with 5 packing the midfield.
It was Scott Spencer who opened the scoring, heading in a Robbie Scarrow corner.
Coulson extended the lead, holding a defender off to place his shot in the far corner.
Adam Richards then had to be withdrawn from action, and will not play again this season after damaging cartilage in his knee. He was replaced on pitch by regular keeper Vinno who has a hand injury.
Somersham did manage to get a goal back after some woeful defending, but Coulson scored again to extend the lead once more.
Chances came and went for both teams before Coulson completed his hat-trick. Outpacing (!!!) the centre back to run onto the box and smash the ball into the roof of the net.
Another good performance from Witchford against supposedly one of the best teams in the league. If only this caould be harnessed and reproduced every game.
Witchford 96 4 Wisbech St Marys Res 6
Witchford should have won this game, after being 3-1 up they let the lead slip and eventually lost by 2 goals.
But Ross Spencer suffered a sickening injury to his ankle which has put him out of action for at least 18 months, after undergoing surgery on his 2 broken bones and dislocated ankle. It puts the game into perspective a bit and was perhaps playing on the players minds as he left for hospital in the ambulance.
Adam Richards had opened the scoring with 2 outstanding goals. The first from 25 yards which he caught on the half volley and it flew into the top corner. The second from almost the exact same spot he curled into the same top corner.
Aron Spencer also netted twice using his pace to breeze past the Wisbech back line.
But defensive mistakes cost Witchford dearly and Wisbech recorded only their second win of the season.
Witchford 96 3 Sutton United 2
The game the fans had been waiting for, a record crowd turned up to watch the match and went home happy. Nearly 30 fans packed the Bedwell Hey ground to witness what is always a well fought match.
It was Witchford out of the traps early who took the game to Sutton. Witchford nearly scored after 2 minutes, when Robbie Scarrow put a free kick into the box for Ward to head goalwards, his header just skimmed past the past the wrong side.
But it was 1-0 to Witchford 5 minutes later as a great cross from Adam Richards found the head of Tom Parish to direct it into the corner.
It was soon 2-0 as Robbie Scarrow broke from Left back, got to the by line and pulled the ball accross to Ward who could not miss from 2 yards into an empty net.
Sutton then got themsleves back into the game when a deflected shot from left back Craig Faux somehow flew into the net.
Witchford picked themselves up and got a 2-0 lead again when Ross fired home a free kick which took a slight deflection off the wall to wrong foot the keeper.
Sutton came into the match more in the second half and reduced the arrears with Matt Keys turning and smashing home from the edge of the box.
Sutton had few chances with Centre backs Tom Newton & Scott Manchett keeping the lively Keys quiet.
A great win for Witchford and if they played like this every week there is no doubt that we would get promoted. Keeping a setrled side is the key for Witchford to consistently perform well.
Witchford 96 7 Milton Reserves 1
A game which saw the referee book a player for blatantly headbutting a Witchford player right in front of his face, for the worst refereeing decision I have seen in 20 years of playing football.
Onto the game itself, Milton were by far the second best team and never really troubled Witchford. They did score to make the game 1-1, but they lacked the fitness in the second half and with only 1 sub they gave up. Aron Spencer & Shaun Eldridge got 2, with Adam Richards, Ross Spencer & Michael Ward on the score sheet again.
The Vine 3 Witchford 96 3
Witchford took the lead in this match after a throw from Eldridge on the left hand side was flicked over his head in the box by Ward, no defenders moved so Ward continued his run and headed the ball accross to Aron Spencer to score.
The Vine scored to draw the game level and it stayed this way until half time.
Shaun Eldridge then curled a great shot into the corner to make it 2-1, and Aron Spencer broke the offside trap to calmly slot the ball over the keeper and in.
The vine then scored again to reduce the lead to 1. And the pressure told with the vine all over Witchford trying to get the leveller. With 5 minutes to go they got the goal and Witchford had to share the points.
Witchford 96 3 Pymoor 1
A local derby which promised more than it delivered. Pymoor where never at the races, and Witchford controlled the game from start to finish and really should have scored more.
Adam Richards scored a scorching volley that Matt Le Tissier would have been proud of. The ball flicked up to the winger on the edge of the box and he volleyed it strraight in to the top corner.
Shaun Eldridge tried to better the goal with his own 25 yard curling shot into the top far corner, it was close but Ads goal had more class.
Aron Spencer completed the scoring out sprinting the back line and slotting under the keeper.
Witchford 96 3 Newmarket A 3
Witchford found themselves 1-0 down early in the game as the ball went straight past centre back Billy Bowers and straight to the centre forward who duely applied the finish.
A good ball in from Shaun Eldridge on the left wing found Ward in the box to chest down and slot past the keeper.
Bowers then got himself sent off for a bitch slap on one of the Newmarket player, and Witchford then found themsleves 2-1 down.
On came Sub Monty, whose first touch was to volley the ball into the corner to draw Witchford level.
Then with 10 minutes to go Monty curled a great shot from the edge of the box to give Witchford the lead.
But with 2 minutes to go Newmarkets pressure told, and they scambled an equaliser.
Witchford 96 2 March Rangers 6
A change of venue was needed to play this game as Witchfords pitch was water logged, so the game went ahead at Little Thetfordsground.
Playing on a slightly smaller pitch Witchford found themsleves behind after some lacklustre defending. Aron Spencer brought them back on terms with a good finish at the far past.
Jonny Chase put Witchford 2-1 ahead with an acomplished finish from the edge of the box.
But from then on it was all March. Argueing in the ranks didn't help the cause and Witchford found themselves 4-2 down at half time.
Witchford had some chances but the luck was not with them for this game.
Witchford 96 9 Great Paxton reserves 3
A goal fest was seen at Bedwell Hey Lane today, well worth the entrance fee!!
Witchford started the brighter making chances straight away. Aron had 2 good chances which the keeper saved, and it looked like it was going to be one of those days for the Witchford forward. Adam Richards opened the scoring after about 10 minutes blasting the ball home through a crowd of players.
From a long throw Bernie flicked the ball on, for Ward to flick goalwards with his foot, the ball went rolling past the keeper leaving Aron to tap in from a yard, not even Aron could miss that one.
Great Paxton then held a revival. Scoring 2 quick goals to make it 2-2.
Ross Spencer then got in on the scoring act. Shooting from 20 yards the ball deflected off a defender and flew in, to put Witchford back in front.
Half time approached, and the team talk was "Play football and theres goals here" and goals there were.
Scott Spencer then made it 3 Spencers on the score sheet. Coming from right back he looked up and went to cross the ball to the far post. The ball flew forward like Ronaldinho's free kick against England in the 2002 world cup, and their keeper reacted very much like Dave Seaman in the England goal, he basically watched it go over his head and in.
Great Paxton reserves then scored again making it 4-3. The nerves at the back must have started to jangle with previous performances, but Witchford never looked back.
Jonny Chase came on and made a difference, he scored a peach from 25 yards. With most people calling for him to pass or cross it, Jonny went for the curler, and curl it did right into the top corner.
Witchford pushed on then with Chase supplying a great ball through to Ward to control and blast past the keeper.
Ross Spencer then got his second, shooting from 25 yards, the ball was travelling as fast as a slug in a wheelchair when it arrived at the keeper, Spencer turned away in disgust and missed the keeper leeting the ball through his legs and into the goal.
Aron Spencer then scored an acrobatic volley from the penalty spot from a Scott Spencer cross to make it 8-3.
Aron then made a penalty, taking the right back on who cut him down in the box. Up stepped Billy Bowers, who earlier had put a volley over the bar from 5 yards, to try and make amends . Which he did stroking it into the bottom corner.
Great second half performance. When Witchford take the game to the other team they play well and can beat any team in the league, more of this second half perfomance in our next games will see Witchford higher up the league were they should be.
Over Reserves 1 Witchford 96 0
Over were a totally different side from the team we had faced a month previously, maybe down to their first team not having a game.
Witchford had the chances to win the game with Aron Spencer going close 3 times and Ward hitting the post from 25 yards. But Over broke through and took their chance when it matterred. Witchford could just not find the killer instinct today, but chances were few.
Witchford 96 4 Needingworth Reserves 4
What started so brightly for Witchford finished so poorly for the team.
Needingworth opened the scoring from a breakaway move which shouldn't really have been scored.
Witchford got back into the match though with Adam Richards crossing for Michael Ward to head down into the bottom corner. Straight from the kick off Aron Spencer robbed the full back, got to the by line and crossed it over for Ward to head Witchford in front. So from being 1-0 down Witchford had got 2-1 ahead in a minute.
It got better for Witchford with Tom Parrish scoring a great header again from an Adam Richards cross. And then a good pass from midfield found Ward in the box who turned and shot. The keeper could only parry the ball away right to Aron Spencer who slotted it home. 4-1 up and cruising.
Then Witchford decided to go to sleep. Needingworth again broke the offside trap and made it 4-2. 5 Minutes later they broke again and made it 4-3. Thats how it was at half time.
Witchford stopped playing the passing football of the first half, and played appallingly in comparrison. Needingworth were putting the pressure on, but Witchford seemed to have escaped with the victory, but with 2 minutes to go Needingworth found the equaliser.
Witchford still had time to win it, with the keeper somehow saving a header from Richards on the line, without knowing much about it.
Lakenheath Reserves 8 Witchford 96 1
Less said about this shocker the better. Lakenheath scored 5 first half goals, splitting the defence at will.
3more second half goals followed, with Bernie Coulson bagging Witchford consolation goal.
Longstanton 4 Witchford 96 2
Playing another team from a higher division was always going to be tough, but Witchford asserted themselves well at the start.
With the squad down to the bare bones Witchford had no subs at all.
Witchford were playing the better football and soon had raced into a 2-0 head start with both goals being scored by Aron Spencer.
It stayed this way for the first half with Witchford looking good for the win.
Aron had a chance to extend the lead and bag his hat-trick just after half time, but fluffed his shot wide at the vital moment. Another chance fell to Ward but the defence got back to break it up.
Then with about 15 minutes to go Longstanton got a goal back, and from then on it was all Longstanton. They equalised about 2 minutes later and then went on to score 2 more.
A dissapointing result for Witchford, who should have got more out of the game.
Godmancheter Reserves 6 Witchford 96 4
A cup game away to Godmanchester who, sitting top of the league, were also in good form and unbeaten.
Godmanchester are a young side and played the right way. Finding feet, moving, playing one two's genreally playing football how its meant to be played. The only problem was the Witchford let the young side do this for a start.
Godmanchester deservedly took the lead, and then extended it to 2-0 not long after. Witchford had chances with Aron Spencer going close and a great ball in from Richards just being missed. But almost straight from kick off after the second goal Witchford pulled one back. Shaun Eldridge getting to the byline to pick out Ward to slot home.
Godmanchester then scored again to give themselves a 2 goal lead once more. But when Witchford attacked they looked dangerous, especially down the flanks. And it was down the flanks again that Witchford got themselves back into the game this time with right winger Adam Richards pulling the ball back to again find Ward to curl his effort just inside the post. Shaun Eldridge then rocked the goal by smacking the post with a half volley from the edge of the box.
3-2 at half time and Witchford could smell a comeback. But it just never happened, Godmanchester scored 3 more times without reply leaving Witchford 6-2 down, and virtually out of the cup.
Billy Bowers scored from a corner and Aron Spencers shot was parried by the keeper to allow Ward to finish. With 12 minutes left Witchford still had a chance but they just couldn't find another 2 goals.
Another cup game this week away against Longstanon Reserves from 1B, which will prove another hard game and a real test for the team.
Witchford 96 5 Over Reserves 2
With the manager back he changed the team from the week before bringing Scott & Aron Spencer into the starting lineup and Robbie Scarrow unlucky to find himself on the bench.
Witchford started the game like a sack of slugs, tied to a pole in a locked cupboard.
Over Reserves romped into a 2-0 lead within 15 minutes. Nothing was going right for the Witchford team, with the wind playing a small part in the game and going against Witchford in the first half it was going to be the hardest half.
Witchford started finding feet and passing it wide, but the final ball was lacking and moves were breaking down.
With 2 minutes left till half time the ball was worked wide to Shaun Eldridge, he whipped in a great cross which found Ward on the penalty spot and his bullet header found the corner of the net to reduce the defecit to one goal at half time.
The socond half was all Witchford, the ball barely coming out of Witchfords half for the whole 45 minutes.
From a croner Billy Bowers made it 2-2 studding the ball past the defence and keeper.
Aron Spencer then grabbed himslef two goals, the first using his pace to outsprint the defence and coolly slot past the keeper , his second and good finish at the near post to extend Witchfors lead to 2 goals.
Spencer then turned provider screaming down the left wing like Usian Bolt, and then pulling it back to Ward on the edge of the box to take his time and place it into the bottom corner to round off the scoring.
Any team will find it hard against Witchford if they play like they did in the second half. On the other hand if they play like they did in the first half then it will be a tough season.
Witchford 96 2 Bottisham 1
With the manager still away losing golf balls in Portugal, Billy "Boots" Bowers was again stand in manager naming an unchanged team from the week before, with the exception of Barnowl coming into the middle.Playing the replay which should never have been, Witchford knew it was going to be a hard game as Bottisham, a league above, proved to be the toughest game of the season so far in the first game.
Bottisham again played well and probably had the best of the first half, but Witchford threatened and had the best chance of the first half, but the finish was just put over.
Witchford took the lead in the second half with Michael Ward slotting the ball past the keeper.
Bottisham got back on level terms with a good individual goal, and were looking dangerous with the pacey winger. Shaun Eldridge was moved back to left wing from up front and this tactical move from stand in manager Billy Bowers paid dividends.
Eldridge ran from the left and kept going, receiving the ball back in the area he finished from a tight angle to give Witchford the win.
A great win for Witchford who really put in a good performance and stuck to the task.
Witchford 96 6 Milton Reserves 1
Another cup game but this week against a side Witchford could only draw with earlier in the season.
Another beaming day and another week without a full squad, changes were made and the team was shuffled around again.
Witchford started straight from the whistle and were playing well, they could have been 3-0 up within 7 minutes as Shaun Eldridge's pace up front was ripping the Milton defence apart.
It was 1-0 after 10 minutes with Tom Parish putting the finishing touch to a great move down the right flank.
Shaun Eldridge again outpaced the back line to calmly slot number 2 home.
Eldridge then turned provider whipping in a great cross to the back post where Ward was there to head home.
Witchford had to be content with a 3-0 lead at half time but it could have been 8-0 with Richards missing a couple the worst from 2 yards.
Witchford started the second half where they left off with Eldridge outstripping the defence to curl in his second and Witchfords 4th.
Ward scored the 5th running through and rounding the keeper to slot home for his second.
Ross Spencer then got in on the action expertly placing his shot into the bottom corner for Witchford 6th.
Some indecision at the back let Milton grab a consolation goal, but it didn't put any dampners on a great performance from Witchford. If Witchford carry on playing like that then there should be some good times for the club this season.
Bottisham 3 Witchford 96 3
Playing in the cup against a team in the league above was always going to be a tough game for Witchford. With a host of players away it certainly didn't help matters. Witchford turned up with a bare 11 with 2 subs on the way.
With the sun out and beating down it wasn't the best conditions with a thin squad. Bottisham started off quickly fizzing the ball around, and they looked a good side.
Witchford had a couple of half chances before the deadlock was broken. A ball through found Ward sliding past the last defender and his left foot shot bobbled past the diving keeper.
Bottisham upped their game again and came close on a few occasions, but they were lacking the finishing touch.
This then cost them dearly as Witchford increased their lead. Adam Richards marauding down the right wing again and his cross found its way in to the top corner.
Just before half time was a decision that changed the match. Ward running past the last defender and smacking the ball home only for the linesman to wrongly judge him offside. That would have almost made it game over.
Bottisham having had a motivating team talk came out looking fired up. It was from a corner they got back into the game with an unchalleged header.
This gave them extra confidence and they scored again from another corner to take the game into extra time.
Witchford took the lead once more as an Dale Houey's cross was headed home at the near post by Ward. Witchford nearly doubled their lead when Jak Johnson headed the ball down from a corner and the defender cleared it off the line without knowing too much about it.
Then a comical mix up at the back let Bottisham in to level once more. With time ticking down Witchford had the chance to win it with an excellent cross from Adam Richards but Ward couldn't keep his header down. A replay will now be needed as penalties should have been taken but weren't.
Witchford 96 2 Stretham 1
With a number of players missing in came 16 year old Jak Johnson from the reserves to play up front, and the team was shuffled around.
Stretham started strongly placing Witchford under pressure from the start. It was a well contested opening with Stretham just shading the early play.
Witchford didn't really have any goal scoring opportunities in the first half with the best chances coming from corners & free kicks.
With the sun beating down the players were feeling the heat. Witchford started to look stronger in the second half and most of the play was at Strethams end. Ward had a good chance which the keeper made a good save from. Then Stretham with the first attack of the second half scored the opener. But almost straight from the kick off Witchford went attacking down the left flank. Shaun Eldridge put a good ball into the box and Ward challenged the centre back, the ball came back out to Eldridge who hit a screamer on the volley into the top far corner.
This goal spurred Witchford on and the ball was constantly in Strethams half. Kev in goal made a great save to keep the match even from a Stretham break away effort.
Gary Freeman then came on and went onto the right wing. And within 5 minutes of coming on the veteran player put a great cross into the near post area where Ward rose and placed his header into the far corner.
It could have been 3-1 with Ward hitting the post after good work from Johnson. The Stretham defence didn't have time to settle with the young centre forward chasing and challenging them all the time.
The game came to a close with Witchford still looking for a third goal. A good result with a number of players missing for both the first team and the reserves.
Milton 1 Witchford 96 1
The first game of the season and a lovely pitch at Milton to start the campaign off. With a bit of rain befoire the kick off the surface was skiddy and should have complimented the recent passing football Witchford had been producing.
Witchford started off well passing and moving and this caused Milton problems in the the first 20 minutes. A good ball in from the left found Ward darting into the box but the keeper came out and saved well.
It was soon 1-0 though. The ball was played forward to Ward on the half wayt line and his flick found Aron Spencer running through, his pace took him clear and he rounded the keeper to score.
Witchford should have pressed on from this position and won the match, but Milton upped their game and stopped the Witchford passing game. A couple more chances came and where saved by the keeper, then Milton scored against the run of play with their first shot on goal.
The second half found Witchford camped in Miltons half and surely it was only a matter of time before Witchford got the winning goal. But it just never came, the luck was with Milton and Witchford just couldn't find the quality ball in needed.
With players away this Saturday a big performance will be needed to beat Stretham.
Witchford 96 5 Manea 0
Playing against a side from the fenland league higher in divisions than Witchford, meant that the side would meet another good test to see how preperations were going.
The game started with Manae well on top. There were moving the ball around well and Witchford were not getting hold of the ball. Manea should have perhaps gone ahead from a free header from a corner, but the ball was put well over.
With Witchford mainly defending it was with Witchfords first real attack that they scored. The Manae defender doing what he couldn't do at the other end heading the ball into the top corner.
This brought Witchford into the game and they started to get the ball more. Then from a free kick on the right hand side, Billy Bowers met the ball perfect from around the penalty spot and headed it down and past the keeper.
This seemed to knock Manea and Witchford finished the half the stronger side.
The second half saw Witchford play some of the best football of pre-season. Within 5 minutes Ward had sprung the offside trap and marauded down the line to slip the ball accross to Ross Spencer to finish easily.
The fourth goal came from a great threaded pass to find Aron Spencer outsprinting the defence and coolly slotting past the onrushing keeper.
This left Ross Spencer to finish the scoring after Witchford pulled Manea all over the place to allow Ross to shoot from the edge of the box and into the bottom corner.
A great win for Witchford and if the team continue to play like this then sights must be set on promotion.
Witchford 96 3 Haddenham Reserves 0
Playing against a team a couple of divisions lower than Witchford, a win was expected especially with good pre-season form.
The scoring was opened after 5 minutes with Aron Spencer crossing the ball into the penalty box where Michael Ward headed over the keeper and under the bar.
Witchford weren't playing their best and the good football from previous matches was eluding them. But it was soon 2-0 with Aron once again crossing into the box for Wadge to head home at the back post for his second of the match. He really should have had his hat-trick when being put through but he rushed his shot and pulled it wide from the edge of the box.
Aron then should have got his first of the game with Ward crossing for Aron to head over from the penalty spot.
After half time Witchford got another early goal with Ross Spencer scoring from the edge of the area giving the keeper no chance.
3-0 could have been 6 of 7-0 with Aron missing 2 from 5 yards and Jonny Chase missing two 1 on 1's with the keeper. But a good run out non the less.
Witchford 96 5 Mepal Sports 1
Another good victory for Witchford in their third pre-season game. Playing a very committed side in Mepal, it was always going to be a tough game. With players back from holiday and 2 trialist's coming into the set up it bolstered the squad once more.
An early goal from Aron Spencer from a corner should have settled the side down, but it never happened. The good passing and moving from previous games never got going and the game was a bit disjointed. Mepal got back on level terms after sloppy spell from Witchford. The game was proving tougher than some had expected and Mepal were passing it around well, but in truth were not really threatening the goal.
It was 2-1 just before half time with Ross Spencer scoring a thunderbolt of a goal from the edge of the box, lashing the ball rightfooted into the top corner the keeper stood no chance at all.
The second half started much the same with Mepal keeping the ball at the back but not doing too much with it, apart from moving Witchford around the pitch.
Good pressure on a throughball found the Mepal veteran defender scooping it over the keeper to make it 3-1.
Mepal were not to keen on Witchford's fighting spirit and moaned a bit too much when tackles came in, but division 2b will be a scrap and alot of fight is needed.
With 20 minutes to go a change up front saw Aron go out to the left wing and Ward go up to utilise his pace.
The change paid dividends from a corner with Scott Spencer putting it in the area for Ben Barnwell to outjump the defence and flick onwards to Ward to stab it in the top corner from 8 yards.
4-1 was soon 5-1, with a nice passing move finding Smith up front, his slipped ball found Ward on the left hand side of the penalty box with only the onrushing keeper to beat. Ward slipped it past him coolly to finish the match.
Another game another win & fitness will be increasing nicely. The team looks to have alot of goals in it this year with plenty of options in all positions. Next game against Manea should be the hardest test so far so hopefully the team can carry the winning mentality forward into that match.
Witchford 96 5 Littleport Reserves 2
Witchford continued their good pre-season campaign with a great result against a team 2 leagues higher than themselves.
With players away and unavailable Witchford only just managed to get 11 players together before Billy Bowers made it back from Cornwall to join the ranks, also Ross Spencer a little the worse for wear flying back from Crete to make the game and bolster the squad. Swanny took an hour to get from Ely to Witchford to give the team 2 subs.
Witchford started off brightly fizzing the ball to feet and moving, making great use of the wings. It wasn't long before they had made the breakthrough. Another good passing move found Adam Richards breaking down the right wing, his inch perfect pass found Ward 5 yards out to stroke it home for the first.
Witchford were in total control but were caught a couple of times with the Littleport forwards breaking through the channels. Littleport almost got on level terms when Billy tried to leave the ball to go out, then tried to back heel the ball and missed it leaving the forward a clear run on goal, luckily he missed.
Witchford got the second goal just before half time with another good passing move being expertly headed in by the continental looking Spencer.
Littleport got 1 back 10 minutes after half time after a chance was missed at the port end and the ball went all the way forward and was duely finished.
A third goal for Witchford followed soon after with Michael Emms coolly chipping the diving keeper.
Spencer grabbed his second of the game to make it 4-1 with a well struck shot. He then grabbed his hat-trick, as a ball over the top from Ward found Spencer sprinting through as if he was in the olympic 100 meter final, for him to knock past the keeper and finish.
A great result for Witchford with another different team out, giving the manager a good headache to have come the start of the season.
Witchford 96 3 Longstanton 2
With a large squad for the pre-season friendley, Witchford started off playing some bright passing football. Moving the Longstanton players around with movement and nice neat passing Witchford created some good early chances.
A mistake at the back allowed Longstanton to take the lead. But pre-season is the time to make mistakes and it was very encouraging to see the ball played out of defence on the ground.
Witchford were soon level when a goalkeeping mistake saw Bernie take full advantage and slot the ball away. Witchford could have had a couple more with Richie Martin & Bernie causing problems for there back line.
Richie made it 2-1 with a great left foot finish from the edge of the box. Thats how it stayed till half time.
Longstanton came out up for it in the second half and there possession football found Witchford being pulled around more in the second period. They soon levelled things up with a dubious penalty which Kev was unlucky not to get to.
With the momentum with Longstanton Witchford did well to pull themselves back up and caught Longstanton on the break. Good work from Scarrow found Richie in the box who squared for Bernie to get his second. And 3-2 was how the score finished.
A great result and a good early work out for the team. Alot of positives can be taken from that performance, and with 5 or 6 players missing it just shows the depth of squad Witchford have this season.
